i went to ADNOC clinic to have my blood test and ultrasound. i didn't insist on hubby to come along because i know the nurses wouldn't allow him to go inside the room/s either. i guess, the arab women are tough to bear pains and not having someone to give moral support is not a big deal to them. anyway, i have to adjust to their culture and act tough as well. ;)

i reached the pathology clinic around 8:15 AM and waited for my turn for my blood test. the medical technologist was a caucasian. she took around 5 vials of blood from me! grabe, nakapikit nga ako when she inserted the huge needle until she pulled it out from my vein. sobrang tensed. ang pagpapakuha ng dugo ang isa sa pinaka-ayaw ko sa medical exams.

anyhow, after she sucked the blood out of me, i proceeded to the next building for the ultrasound. only then that i noticed that my schedule for that test is tomorrow. hehe. nde naman ako excited. i asked the doctor if it's possible to have my schedule shifted instead to today. she willingly obliged although i had to wait for an hour because she has so many patients.

i had a first look at my baby via a little tv screen. actually, i couldn't see anything except the dark circle amidst the what seemed to be a bag of gooey matter. =) heartbeat has been heard already and little baby measures 1.1 cm, which the doctor said is normal and corresponds to a 7 weeks and 1 day baby. =) i am happy. i called up hubby and he was happy like me.
