since we will be having a baby boy, mega cramming ako sa kakaisip ng baby name for a boy kasi yung mga na-take note kong magagandang names ay for girls. =)

anyhow, i was at my desk the whole day typing something for my brit boss. at the background, i was researching for meanings of names. within half a day, these are the names that i came up with.

1. Mio Gabriel

Mio = [latin] which means mine

Gabriel = [hebrew] which means hero of God, and of course from Angel Gabriel, the Messenger of God

combined, the name means MY HERO... another meaning ay Mio from the expression Diyos Mio! ngehehe

nickname = Mabbie (or Marlo? scrambled letters from real name), ayoko ng miggy kasi parang ang sagwa na nun pag binata na siya.

2. Miel Cedrick

Miel = [french] which means honey na something sweet

Cedrick = [welsch] which means gift of splendor, (ito rin pala ang wish na name ni marvin for himself sana... na nde naintindihan ng nanay and tatay nya sa mga unga niya nung baby pa siya. haha.)

combined, the name means SWEET GIFT... he's the sweetest gift of God to us.

nickname = Mickey, hango naman kay Mickey Mouse... haha, halata bang Disney fan ang mommy niya??

ginawa kong puro M start ng possible name niya like his nanay and tatay. i just couldn't decide right now which of the two is more suited for our little angel. and of course, i still need to get his dad's permission.

eventhough i really like Karlo for a name, i dropped it in my list of choices because of an inappropriate meaning along with the second names i thought of, which is free man... saka yung Karlo pala ay name ni Pope John Paul II at nde ni Pope Benedict. mas memorable sa amin si Pope Benedict e (because his appointment date as pope was the day of our wedding). Pope Benedict's name is Joseph Ratzinger pala... yoko naman ng Joe Ratzi na name ng baby... ewww!!! sounds like leader ng komunista, hehe.

i also like the name Marlo (because of the discouragement that i was not able to use Karlo in the real name) it means decendant of Mary (because i wished and prayed for him through Mama Mary's intervention), however i couldn't think of a second name that suits its meaning. if his dad agrees to use name # 1, we might consider this as his nickname.
